It is the new story we need now that explains the past, heals the present and manifests a viable future of living in harmony in bodies exquisitely calibrated with a conscious planet designed to be a paradise of sensory pleasure and collaborative creation. John Lamb Lash's work addresses the great anamoly that many of us feel deep in our souls that breaks our hearts - we are depressed and frustrated with the state of the world because we know it was not meant to be a prison planet of pain and suffering, we reject a narcissistic psychopathic god and we recognize the mass brain-washing and social engineering as experimentation and control by false-light, predatory entites that somehow hacked into a divine dimension. JLL's message is ultimately spiritual, intellectual, practical and ultimately hopeful. IMO this book will be recognized as one of the most important works of Gnosticism and one of the few that explains the evil on Earth that has spread thru religious deception, political propaganda and military force and New Age naivete. It reinforces my own knowing that in 2019-33 we are in a transition (what he refers to as Sophia's Correction which is analogous to the 2nd Coming of a Christ-like Consciousness as the awakening of the Divine Feminine in individuals and activation of the true essence of Anthropos, the template of enlightened human beings) and - after chaos and radical change- will create the prophesied Golden Age aka ascension, 5D Earth, heaven on earth, return to the Garden. • 1.0 out of 5 stars from Alexis -- This work and the author are anti-Semitic : Reader be warned - this author makes many claims not supported by legitimate scholarship, presents his own personal views as fact and those views are violent and anti-Semitic. My personal hunch is that he is doing exactly what he is claiming is the flaw of religious patriarchs and institutions - he is taking his own personal spiritual and emotional experience (which may or may not be regarded as authentic, but he does seem like your run of the mill overly sensitive sort of disturbed mystic) and twisting that experience into a literal narrative and dogmatic framework that becomes tainted by his own unconscious projections and fears and likely some form of trauma, given that he then draws conclusions that Judaism is to blame for all the world's ills. It's really interesting how the white, male inheritors of Christianity and post-Christian Anglo-European secularism, citizens of the United States, Europe and other colonial powers specifically, who have literally inherited their privilege from a white supremacist system authored by an Anglo-European white Christian religious establishment, consistently miss the opportunity to reconcile the complexity of that and own up their responsibility and complicity and instead just go on elaborate, complex witch hunts for another group of people to blame except for themselves and their ancestors. Many people mistakenly believe that Gnosticism is a form of Christianity, but this is far from the truth. Gnosticism pre-dates Christianity and is very different from Christianity's, Judaism's and Islam's salvationist philosophies. Indeed, Lash argues that it is salvationism that is the cause of so much of humanity's destructive urges. This is book heals misconceptions, and helps us to return to our roots before the arrival and infiltration of pathological and psychopathic salvationist religions. You will see things differently. Possibly overly wordy and a tad lengthy if I had to crit, yet considerably researched (a life work) with care, intelligence and sensitive articulation. One of the best perspectives available to what on earth has been going on (there are many other angles to also consider and some of those 'dovetail' into this content). The research is comprehensive, the arguments more than persuasive - the mythos of the Aeon Sophia is timely and urgent as world events spiral into madness and desperate destructiveness and we, indeed, seem to be in the clutches of a malevolent and envious force bent on destroying everything and taking us with it. Out of the remnants of knowledge left by the gnostics, or telestai more properly called, John Lamb Lash reveals the true path for humanity which, contrary to endgame prophecies, is not 'pre-ordained' but open and infinitely beautiful. John Lamb Lash is an excellent researcher with a fine mind of his own, penetrating into the mysteries of what went on and why our planet is in such a mess at this time. It all comes right back down to religion. The corruptive archons religion. Like the other book I read, Ramtha's Master's Reflections Part 2, it also talks about the corrupt archons, who Ramtha calls creator gods, but the Cassiopaeans and Pleiadians also call them creator gods. I just call them lizards. Hahaha. Not all creator gods are lizards though. Some gods are really sweet gentle beings. So anyway. John Lamb Lash talks about what he's learned from researching the old works which they tried to hide from us, but they keep coming to the surface, like the Nag Hammadi Codices that were found in 1945.
